My name is Tara Hafso, and I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I have been involved in web and graphic design for just over ten years.

For seven years, I worked as the Lead Website Developer and Senior Graphic Designer at the head office of the Running Room Canada Inc. During this time, I created the Running Room's first website, and developed it into one of the leading websites for runners in Canada, with over a thousand pages of content, an online store, visitor forums and more. I was also the designer, coordinator and copy editor of the Running Room's 48 page full-colour monthly newsletter with a distribution of over 200,000 households.

I left my position at the Running Room in 2002 to accept a position with Sierra Systems Group Inc., working as a graphic/web designer. I have just recently decided to work out of my home doing freelance and consulting work.

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta and over nine years of web and print design experience. I am skilled at all of the top design software titles on both Mac and PC platforms, including QuarkXPress and software from Adobe, Macromedia and Microsoft. I have earned an LGDC designation from the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.
